About

b. 1990, Turkey

Based in London

Born in Turkey, Beg Berdan is a multidisciplinary artist from London, whose work touches sculpture, printing, found art and anthropology. Her work often takes a lens to the areas of the human and animal anatomies, reconfiguring them into familiarly unfamiliar collages and shapes. In analysing these body parts on an almost forensic level, collecting bones and traces of human life on her mudlarking missions, she is gathering the physical representations of memory.

Her works are, gory, disruptive, body and disgust, jokey and playful. Repetitive and obsessive at times.
